Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) has announced its 15-player roster for the 15U Boys provincial team that will go for gold this summer at the 2024 Canada Basketball National Championships.

“Our 15U boys Alberta Basketball team is gearing up to proudly represent our beautiful province of Alberta,” says David Kapinga, Team Alberta 15U Boys head coach. “Coaching these remarkable young athletes is a privilege as we guide them through their journey in the sport. Our mission is to play hard, play smart, and play together as a cohesive unit.”

The roster includes players from six different municipalities across the province. Twelve players from the roster will travel to compete at the 2024 Canada Basketball 15U Men’s Tournament, Aug. 5-10 at York University in Toronto, Ont. Three players will serve as alternates, who will train with the team as it prepares for the tournament.

Alberta’s 15U Boys team has finished Top 4 at each of the past five Nationals Championships, including back-to-back bronze medal wins in 2019 and 2022. The 2023 ABA 15U Boys team placed fourth at Nationals in Sherbrooke. Que., last August.
