Two Albertans are taking part in the BioSteel All Canadian Basketball Games at the University of Toronto on April 3.

Delaney Gibb (Raymond) will play in the BioSteel All Canadian Girls Game at 10:00 am MST, followed by Caelum Swanton-Rodger (Calgary) playing in the BioSteel All Canadian Boys Game at 1:00 pm MST. Both games are being broadcast live by TSN.

"Congratulations to Delaney and Caelum selected to the BioSteel All Star Games," says Alberta Basketball Association executive director Paul Sir. "Both are deserving players who have worked extremely hard to get to this level. ABA is pleased to have been part of their development and wish them great success in the games and in their promising futures."

The BioSteel All Canadian Basketball Games feature the top 24 male and female Canadian high school basketball players who are either Canadian-born or enrolled in a Canadian institution. The top 24 athletes come to Toronto to work with Canadian coaches and trainers in a series of events including on-and-off court training, practices and scrimmages in front of NBA scouts and GMs, community outreach, the Nike Skills Challenge, and the Boys and Girls All Canadian Games.

There is a rich history of Alberta Basketball Association alumni competing in the BioSteel All Canadian Games, which ran from 2015 to 2019 (boys) and in 2019 (girls) before missing the last two years because of the pandemic: Awak Piom (2015), Aher Uguak (2016), Adong Makuoi (2018), Yvonne Ejim (2019), Ben Krikke (2019), and Brynn Masikewich (2019), who was named MVP of Team White after leading her side to a dominant 112-78 victory over Team Red in the inaugural BioSteel All-Canadian Girls Basketball game.
