U Sports Men's Final 8 set to tip off in Edmonton

The  2022 U SPORTS Final  Men’s Basketball Final 8 is taking place in Edmonton for the first time, hosted by the University of Alberta at the Saville Community Sports Centre on Friday, April 1 - Sunday, April 3.

"ABA is excited to see the best university players in the country compete at the Saville Centre, and is proud to have helped bring the championships to Edmonton for the first time," says Paul Sir, Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Executive Director. "This is a tremendous opportunity for fans to watch basketball at an elite level, and we hope to see everyone out packing the stands and showing the rest of Canada just how passionate our basketball community is."

Friday, April 1
  • 1 p.m.: Quarter-final #1—No. 8 Saskatchewan vs. No. 1 Brock
  • 3 p.m.: Quarter-final #2—No. 5 Queen’s vs. No. 4 Dalhousie
  • 6 p.m.: Quarter-final #3—No. 6 McGill at No. 3 Alberta
  • 8 p.m.: Quarter-final #4—No. 7 Carleton vs. No. 2 Victoria
