ABA Alumni of the Week: Nora Luca

Mount Royal University women’s basketball forward Nora Luca has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for the week of Jan. 19 to Jan. 25, 2026.
The Calgary native scored her season-high 20 points to lead the Cougars to a 78-74 home victory over the Brandon Bobcats on Jan. 25. Luca made four field-goals, including two three-pointers, and a career-high 10 free-throws.
Through 18 games this season, Luca is averaging 12.7 points per game. A fifth-year student-athlete, she leads her team in field-goals made, with 78, and free-throws made, with 59.
Luca represented her province as a member of Team Alberta at the 2018 Canada Basketball National Championships for 15U Girls.
