2024 Alberta ID Camp
2024 Alberta ID Camp (formerly Western ID Camp)
The Alberta ID Camp consists of an Open ID session and 3 Assessment sessions per age group. The ID Camps will take place at Legary Athletics in Edmonton 2 weekends in November. The Open ID Session will be open to Canadian athletes born in 2008 - 2012. Canada Basketball Men's & Women's High Performance, Team Alberta Provincial Team coaching staff and Post Secondary coaches from across the province will be assessing athletes through out the ID Camps.
Alberta Basketball, in association with Canada Basketball’s Men’s and Women’s High Performance, will host the Alberta ID Camp for boys and girls in November 2024. Athletes will experience a National team camp format with representatives from Canada Basketball’s High Performance teams leading skill sessions and evaluating athletes for possible invites to future National Team and Provincial Team Camps.

Process:

Open ID Session & Assessment #1 - Open to all registered athletes

After these 2 sessions there will be a selection of 30 athletes to move on to Assessment #2

Assessment #2 - Invited athletes from the Open ID Session and Assessment #1

Athletes will receive a Western ID Camp Reversible at the beginning of this session

After this session there will be a selection of 24 athletes to move to Assessment #3

Canada Basketball High Performance Pathway Address

Canada Basketball High Performance Coach will address the CB High Performance Pathway and the steps to be identified as a National Team Athlete

Parents and athletes are invited to attend

Assessment #3 - Invited athletes from Assessment #2
Athletes must attend the Open ID Session or the Assessment #1 to move forward to Assessment #2 unless athlete has been identified by Canada Basketball High Performance.
