Albertans Pippa Gibb (Raymond) and Emerald Nnani (Edmonton) have been named to Team Canada’s roster for the FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup 2025, taking place June 16 to 23 in Irapuato, Mexico.

Team Canada opens play against Colombia on June 16. All games will be streamed live on FIBA's YouTube channel.
The FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup features the top eight teams from across the Americas zone. The top four teams in the event will automatically qualify for next summer’s FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026.
Gibb and Nnani are both part Alberta’s female basketball roster for the 2025 Canada Summer Games, which takes place in St. John’s from August 8 to 25.
