ABA Alumni of the Week: Katherine Plouffe

Katherine Plouffe has been named the Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) Alumni of the Week for May 12 - 18, 2025.

The Edmonton product helped Canada reach the final at the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series event, which took place May 16 and 17 in Amsterdam. Canada defeated Ireland and Puerto Rico in the pool stage, then beat Czechia in the quarter-finals and Poland in the semi-finals before losing to the host Netherlands.

After playing in all five of Canada’s games, Plouffe finished the event with the top player value (41.5) and the most rebounds (28). She had the second most key assists (13) and third most highlights (19).

Plouffe won silver twice with Team Alberta at the Canada Basketball National Championship, 15U in 2007 and 17U in 2008. In 2009, she was a member of Alberta’s gold-medal women girls basketball team.
