Join us for an unforgettable evening as we celebrate 50 remarkable years of basketball excellence with the Alberta Basketball Association.
The 50th Anniversary Gala and dinner will take place inside Hall D at the Edmonton Expo Centre, home of the CEBL’s Edmonton Stingers. Guests will be seated at tables around the court, creating a unique setting befitting the occasion.
Keynote speaker John Stockton, widely considered the greatest pure point guard in basketball history, will share memories from his Hall-of-Fame career with the Utah Jazz and provide insight into his journey from playing at a small NCAA school to becoming the NBA’s all-time assists and steals leader.
Members of the 2016 Canadian Olympic basketball team, Nirra Fields, Miah-Marie Langlois and coach Shawnee Harle, will join panel host Cami Kepke for a roundtable discussion about women’s basketball, and look back at their iconic triumph at the 2015 FIBA Americas Championship for Women in Edmonton.
The ABA 50th Anniversary Gala will also feature the unveiling of the 50 Greatest Moments in Alberta Basketball and a silent auction with exclusive basketball memorabilia.
