ATHLETES & COACHES INFORMATION 

DRESS CODE:

In order to have a first class competitive event for participants and spectators, players must represent their province/territory in a professional manner at the National Championships, and must wear proper attire. Players must wear the clothing provided to them by their province/territory whenever they participate in National Championship events. These events include, but are not limited to: competitions, opening (banquet) and closing ceremonies, meals and travel.


Players are not permitted to remove their uniform (jersey or shorts) while in the room. They may only remove their uniforms while in the team locker room. Players are expected to dress in a manner that positively represents their province/territory not only on the field but also off the field during national championships. For example, whenever a player is in the room or outside their home room.

TEAM ACCOMMODATIONS: 

BISHOP'S UNIVERSITY RESIDENCE

  • One-minute walk to competition gyms and food service.
  • Double occupancy with two single beds for the athletes and coaches. (One bathroom for two rooms).
  • Single occupancy rooms for coaches (where available, sharing one bathroom.
  • Included: full bedding, soap, towels.
  • No air conditioning, but a fan where available.
  • Free Wifi and laundry service.
  • Entertainment room on each floor with television.

EQUIPMENT & FURNITURE

Equipment and or furniture located in the Residence Halls may not be moved. The group or individual assumes all responsibility for lost, relocated or stolen furniture. A minimum charge of $250.00 will apply for relocation.

FOOD SERVICES:

DEWHURST DINING HALL

  • Located one minute walk to competition gyms and residences.
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner All You Can Eat.
  • To go meals available when necessary.
  • Tournament accreditation required to enter the dining hall.

FOOD SCHEDULE

BREAKFAST: 7:00AM - 9:00AM
LUNCH: 11:30AM - 2:00PM
DINNER: 4:30PM - 9:00PM
 

MENU

  • Breakfast: Hot and cold cereals, Full hot breakfast, omelettes, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, fruit, toasts.
  • Many stations: Soup of the day (2 choices), Salad bar, Vegetarian meal/protein meal/meal of the day/pizza, burgers, fries, cakes, cookies, ice cream.

BANQUET:

Banquet will be held on Wednesday, August 2nd at The Gait Banquet Hall.

  • Doors open at 6:30 pm.

COACHES TECHNICAL MEETING

July 30, 8:00pm - Paterson Hall in Paterson Building

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation will be provided from/to YUL airport and Bishop's University on Saturday & Sunday, July 29 & 30, and Sunday, August 6.

All other immediate tournament locations are within walking distance on campus (residence, competition and practice gyms, food services, and banquet hall).

SPORTS THERAPY:

July 30 - Arrival and practice day - there will be one therapist for both game. If you need taping or anything the therapist will be in Mitchell Gym.
** For practices or pre-game taping or cares, tam must bring their own materials or pay it to the therapists. For needs during games, costs will be covered by the championship organization.

Dr Laura-Emilie Cyr is assigned to cover the National Championships.

HOSPITALITY ROOM:

Hospitality room will be made available to coaches and administrators, between 11 AM and 9PM. Beverages and finger food will be served.

Our rooms block was released on June 13. Parents can still have the special price if the mention Basketball Quebec but they have to make their reservation soon.

STREAMING AND ACCESS TO ALL GAMES

SportCanada.tv will be filming/ broadcasting the games live. The games will be automatically saved on line and accessible to the public as soon as the games are over.
