Alberta Basketball’s Fall Development Programs are available in Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge, with junior and senior academies, for 11-14 and 15-18 years old, respectively, giving aspiring boys and girls the chance to improve as players and work towards reaching their basketball goals under the guidance of leading coaches. Programming is based on Canada Basketball’s curriculum, emphasizing the Canadian Style of Play.

Alberta Basketball's Targeted Athlete Strategy (TAS) is part of a national program providing identified athletes with an individualized training and development program that fosters long-term growth as a skilled athlete and maximizes potential for a professional playing career and representing Canada internationally. The TAS has helped a number of aspiring Alberta players, male and female, on their path to Team Canada.
The Fall Development Programs usually begin the first week of September, and progress for 8 sessions.
