17U Men’s Head Coach: Matt Daley
Head Coach - SAIT Trojans Men’s Basketball

Matt Daley brings a championship pedigree and extensive post-secondary coaching experience to Alberta’s 17U Men’s Team. Originally from Belledune, New Brunswick, Matt has coached across the country at both the U SPORTS and CCAA levels, consistently guiding programs to success and helping athletes reach their full potential.

He is currently the Head Coach of the SAIT Trojans men’s basketball program, following two years as Associate Head Coach that culminated in both ACAC and CCAA national championships in 2023. Prior to his time at SAIT, Matt served as:

  • Interim Head Coach and Associate Head Coach at the University of New Brunswick (5 years total), leading the team to an AUS Championship in 2018

  • Head Coach at Edge School for Athletes (2 years)

  • Head Coach for Genesis EYBL Champions League (2 years)

Matt’s provincial team involvement includes leading Team Alberta’s 17U Men to a Bronze Medal finish in 2024, reflecting his ability to bring out the best in top-tier athletes on the national stage.

17U Men’s Assistant Coach: Bradley Farish
St. Francis Xavier High School / West Elite Basketball Association / Edmonton Stingers

Bradley Farish brings passion, experience, and a strong development focus to Alberta’s 17U Men’s Team. Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Bradley has built his coaching foundation in Alberta through a variety of roles, including high school, club, and professional development programs.

He currently coaches at St. Francis Xavier High School, a program known for its commitment to high-performance student-athletes, and works with the West Elite Basketball Association, helping club players grow in competitive settings. Bradley has also been involved with the Edmonton Stingers organization, supporting elite player development at the professional level.

In 2024, Bradley joined Team Alberta as an Assistant Coach with the 17U Men’s team, contributing to the province’s performance on the national stage.

Bradley is deeply committed to the personal and athletic growth of young players across Alberta.

We’re thrilled to have Coach Farish on the sidelines with the 17U Men’s team as he continues to guide and inspire Alberta’s next generation of basketball talent.

17U Men’s Assistant Coach: Etienne Jacquet
Head Coach - University of Alberta Augustana Men’s Basketball

Etienne Jacquet brings a wealth of experience from the high school, prep, collegiate, and professional levels to the 17U Men’s Team Alberta coaching staff. A native of Montreal, Quebec, Etienne is currently the Head Coach of the University of Alberta Augustana men’s basketball program, where he leads all aspects of team academics, strategy, and player development.

Before joining Augustana, Etienne served as an Assistant Coach with Carleton University’s men’s basketball program—one of the most decorated teams in Canadian university sports. During his time at Carleton, he played a key role in recruiting and player development as part of a program that has won 17 of the last 20 USports national titles.

Etienne also brings USports head coaching experience from Algoma University, where he contributed to the strategic direction and development of the men’s basketball team. His professional coaching résumé includes serving as the advanced scouting video coordinator and assistant coach with the Ottawa SkyHawks (NBLC), giving him insight into the preparation and precision required at the pro level.

His coaching achievements at the prep and high school levels are equally impressive, including:

  • Multiple league, regional, and provincial championships with Thetford Mines (High School and CEGEP RSEQ)

  • Undefeated seasons in 2017 (39-0) and 2018 (33-0) with Thetford CEGEP

  • Over 30 AAU tournament victories across Canada and the U.S. (2014-2019)

  • Medal-winning performances at JDP and MDP camps with Ontario Basketball

Etienne is driven by a desire to build strong relationships and teach the game at its highest levels:

“I love the fact that I will be able to contribute in building relationships and teach the game to the best athletes we have to offer in Alberta. Throughout my coaching journey, I achieved success at the youth level. I look to continue that trend with the great people at Team Alberta and a group of elite young men looking to achieve greatness at the Canada Games. Participating in the Canada Games, a national championship tournament, has always been a goal of mine.”
