Team Edmonton qualifies for FIBA 3x3 Mexico City Masters

Team Edmonton continued its fantastic start to the 2019 FIBA 3x3 season, with a second-place finish at the FIBA 3x3 Challenger event that took place in Penang, Malaysia on May 11 and 12.

By virtue of its result, Team Edmonton qualified for the upcoming 2019 Mexico City Masters, scheduled for July 6-7.

In Penang, Team Edmonton was represented by a foursome of Alberta Basketball provincial team alumni; Jermaine Bucknor Jordan Jensen-Whyte, Kyle Landry, and Steve Sir. The team won four of its five games, with the only loss being a hard-fought 21-17 decision against Serbia's Novi Sad in the championship final.
