Special Saturday of Canadian hoops at the Saville Centre on July 7

Edmontonians are invited to enjoy a free day of basketball featuring international calibre athletes Saturday at the Saville Community Sports Centre.

At 3 p.m., the Basketball Canada Senior Women’s National Team will hold a scrimmage featuring many of the country’s top players including Edmonton’s own Katherine and Michelle Plouffe.

Prior to that, the 3x3 Canada Quest Final begins at 10 a.m., leading up to the championship game at 2:30 p.m.. when the tournament finalists square off for the right to call themselves national champs.

Canada Quest also serves as a great preview for the FIBA 3x3 Edmonton Challenger event that will be taking place September 21-23 at West Edmonton Mall, featuring teams from around the world.
